Ignorance may be bliss, but...

It won't get you a raise.

For the past year and a half (ok, closer to 2 years,) I've been, well, drawing pictures for a living. People give me a sketch of what they want, and I work my magic.

Well, the time has come for me to actually learn what it the things do that I draw. I can draw a control system's control panel, and draw the wiring for it, but now I'm going to (eventually) design them myself!

So "back to school" I go (only there's no school, just figuring it out on my own)! Fun, fun, fun!

I've got the perfect tutorial! A PLC5 for the Scout camp that monitors and controls the pool and pump house! Complete with PLC, programming, and MMI (Sorry. HMI. Man-machine Interface has become politlcally correct HMI: HUMAN - machine interface.) Analog inputs and outputs, discrete I/O, the works.
We need to talk!
